ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Talia Harris! I am a junior at Watkinson School in Hartford Ct. I am passionate about global studies and issues worldwide and the work we can do now to overcome these problems. I am a three-sport varsity athlete. I love learning about different cultures, international relations, and how the world is interconnected. Balancing academics and sports keeps me busy, but I thrive on challenges and learning as much as possible. At school, I started a pickleball club and am apart of Raven and Titens (people of color affinity space) and Chai (Jewsish affinity space). I was involved in my synagogue confirmation program. I also attended the L'taken Social Justice Seminar and participated in the RAC Teen Justice Fellowship. The Kumi retreat "Moving Traditions emboldens Jewish youth to thrive through the pursuit of personal wellbeing (shleimut), caring relationships (hesed), and a Jewish and feminist vision of equity and justice (tzedek)." I am so excited to have the opportunity to study global studies and can't wait to apply what I learn to my daily life!
